How Fish Log Got Started
In mid October 2011 I was hearing how bad the Steelhead run was that year so far and some persons were doubting how many fish I was catching. So I started the Steelhead Photo Fish Log using the date and time stamp of the photo as the
photo title. When I was out fishing on my own I would take a quick picture of the decent fish caught before releasing them,
this was the results. What is not on this summary is the total time spent fishing which were listed on the Photo Fish Log. By taking the total time fishing and dividing by the number of fish caught (not counting the small ones) I came up with the
minutes per fish. Under good to fair conditions I averaged one every 10 to 12 minutes and under fair to poor conditions I averaged one every 15 minutes.
